According to the NY Rising Housing Recovery Program, only 50% of home affected by Superstorm Sandy have completed their home elevation and repair projects.  The completion of a NY Rising Community Reconstruction Plan is an important step toward rebuilding a more resilient community and Progressive Construction is here to help.

1.

For Home Repair:  As of June 1, 2017, your home rehabilitation must be in progress and you must request an interim inspection and provide documented evidence of an estimate, contract, and completion schedule with a contractor.

2.

For Optional Elevations: As of September 1, 2017, your home elevation must be in progress. You must pass an interim inspection OR homeowners must withdraw from the Optional Elevation Program and return the Optional Elevation Reward.

3.

For Mandatory Elevations: Not elevating your substantially damaged home could result in forfeiture of your NY Rising Award. Although a completion deadline for Mandatory Elevations is not specified, according to NY Rising, they  would like projects completed within the year.

4.

If you have not done so already, now is the time to Choose a Qualified Company to help you successfully complete your project. Choosing an experienced and knowledgeable house lifting specialist is vital.
